Friday, March 28th - Today was your 3rd (you get 4) class to prepare for your merger presentations. - Reminder: I will not be here on Monday (Mr. Clarke will be back) but if you want to get in contact with me about your presentations please feel free to e-mail me. All presentations are due on Tuesday, April 1st. We will choose the order first by volunteers, then by random draw.

Wednesday, March 26th - Today was your first work period in the lab for your merger assignment - Reminder that we do not have access to school computers tomorrow due to the OSSLT. You will need to bring either a personal device to continue working on your merger presentation, or printed research to go through for the shortened period 3 class
Tuesday, March 25th - Today we finished looking at competitive and concentrated markets - Today we looked at how to calculate profit and loss - Today you were assigned your next major project - the merger oral presentation
Monday March 24th - Today we continued with our group discussions from Friday - We also looked at the two types of markets (competitive and concentrated) through completing pros and cons charts in groups thinking from the side of the producers and consumers. - We started a reading, but will continue it tomorrow.
Friday, March 21st - Today we had a quiz - We discussed government intervention. - We discussed the concepts that we have been going over in groups through case study questions - You received your research reports back. If you have questions about your report and your comments, please come and see me (in my office or in the classroom prior to period 3). Please read through your report, the rubric, and your comments before coming to see me.
Thursday, March 20th - Today we looked at elasticity for supply and then looked at both supply and demand again. We took a note, read from the textbook, and had practice questions.

Tuesday, March 18th - Today we had guest speaker Gerald Blackstock in to talk to you about banking and careers. He is an associate portfolio manager and investment advisor at RBC.
Monday, March 17th - Today we were in the computer lab researching investment banking and preparing for tomorrows guest speaker - You received your unit 1 tests back. Your research reports will be returned when the final students submit theirs.
Thursday, March 6th - Today your research projects were due. For the few of you that did not hand it in, you need to e-mail it to me ASAP. - Today was your first class dedicated to your portfolio. We were in the computer lab and you had the class to work on your first entry (if you have not already been working on it) and ask any questions

Pages 35-36 have more information about each system. - Reminder that on Tuesday you will have YOUR PERSONAL notes available to you for an open book assessment (no textbooks, and also no photocopies of textbook paces)
